I am in the process of setting up a backup rotation schedule, and I am hoping to not over complicate the process. I would like to have backups on two physical external drives.
What my thought was:
Week 1, day 1, Full backup, day 2-7, differential backups on external disk 1
Week 2, day 1, Full backup, day 2-7, differential backups on external disk 2
Week 3, repeat week 1, etc.
My thought is to keep two full images and two weeks of differential on each disk, quota applied after imaging.
Does this make sense? Also, in the rotation setup, does "Maximum number of images" include both full and differential?
Thanks

Our on-line help page describes almost the same backup plan: An example of a rotation scheme. You'll need to create 2 tasks, one for each drive.
Yes.

Re: R-Drive Image Schedule Rotation
I created a simple rotation schedule and it appears to have completed successfully. As mentioned previously, I will be alternating weekly between external drives for the backup storage (literally swapping out devices on the usb port). Does the software look at the connected drive and count images each time it is run (my assumption), or does it keep track internally on the times that it has run them?
Thanks
