R-Studio not responding

Post by Herver » Mon Dec 30, 2024 4:25 am

Hello RTT Team,
I successfully used the R-Studio to recover files on a crashed Nas disk a couple of weeks ago.
But yesterday, I wanted to recover other files and the software stopped working.

The disk I want to recover files from is connected through USB (it worked in the past), if I connect the drive before starting R-Studio, then R-Studio stays at the splash screen (initializing). Or, if I start R-studio first, then it works... Until I connect the drive, then I get a "no responding" application.
And Windows cannot kill it, I have to shutdown my computer.
I tried to uninstall the software, remove keys from registry, use the debug and log file, nothing worked and no clue what is going on
I am now totally stuck, any help will be appreciated.

Does your system recognize the USB disk when it is connected? Your system rather than R-Studio.

Yes, the disk is recognized...
Well at least found! Since my computer is a Windows system and the disk comes from Linux.

No this is not the case. R-Studio Windows supports Linux files systems (ext fs, xfs, ufs). Maybe, disk hardware issues?
