Hi,
im keep checking release history, but this missing this features which making the most of the headache with multibooting:
1) Its nice that partition manager is now included, but it can resize Linux Ext* volumes and also you can resize ext partition during recovery.. I often change size of partitions and i cant cant restore backup without using some additional "virtual disk" and Gparted or similar linux tool to resize volume and remove free space.
2) Fix crosslinked files before resizing or EXT* recovery.. Todays Linux for some reason using cross linked files probably because of space saving.. When i want to do files backup that is a problem, same with some Ext* resizing tools. I have to boot into Linux and run this command:
'sudo fsck -y -c /dev/sdX'
Probably because crosslinked files, when i try to restore files from ext* backup i never can restore all files and after is such backup about useless because it can boot, i mean its nice to backup user data, but its not good for full system. I have to use other tools.
It would me save a lot of time R-Drive would be able to do these.
3) There are some minor things like be able to recover and resize Windows 9x Fata volume to different disk, it needs to update bootsec.dos used by ntldr WinXP bootloader or partition start boot sec which changed disk geometry data.
Winimage bootpart is able to do it.
4) Windows share find for some reason R-Drive was allways bad i detecting other machine in WIndows network in same Workgroup.. i have to add backup to them by \\machineName\Filename.. or \\10.0.0.x hardcoded path.. It would be nice at least remember already user local shares..
Most important missing feature Ext* partition resize and resize recovery and fix of crosslinked files
