finding a document with specific content

I am looking for one file or just parts of its content. I know three words of the content and the creation time + / - three months. It is probably a txt file. What would be the best procedure?

I'd like to suggest the following.
1. Filter out all the files within the certain period of time using the file mask.
2. Open each file in the built-in text editor and search for the string.
