restoring deleted files

Post by Anton » Tue Nov 13, 2018 3:59 am

Hi guys
I have a disk with ext4 filesystem where folder with files were deleted
R-Undelete and Studio finds this folder, finds files inside with correct names, but restores most of them with zero size.
Is there something I can do to restore those files? File history haven't shown me anything meaningful.
Thanks

Are you sure you used R-Undelete? It doesn't support ext4. Maybe, that was R-Linux?
Actually, when Linux deletes files it does delete them. I think only search for known file types can help in your case.

Sure of course it was R-Linux. I tried to search by file type, it finds files but with random names.
Can I restore that files with original names?
