@alt Could you at least once actually DISCUSS an issue ON the forum? This issue has been raised by me and by others. I have raised it via email and over the forum. No solution. Ever. What is the point of having a forum if you're not going to discuss anything?

Sorry, yes I realize that isn't what your thread is about. But @Alt suggested that you do it in his response to you, and that is an issue that has never been solved.

Did you fix the 'failing to create a WinPE startup disk' issue? I reported that in June, as have others.

My flash drives yes: 32 and 64 GB.
It also failed making an ISO file.

This is an addendum to my earlier post that just occurred to me after reading the previous post above:

I was trying to make ISO images, in addition to flash drives. But the issue is identical in stopping at 79%.

This is exactly the problem and the symptoms that I had when attempting the same thing. I contacted support. I sent them all the logs. They first told me to try a bigger flash drive. I wrote back and told them I'd already tried different drives, all plenty big enough, and asked did they even look at ...

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I don't fully understand how or when going from one type to the other is problematic.

That is exactly what happened to me recently - on a weekend. I did not have time to wait for a technical support email, so I ended up re-installing Windows and then restoring my data as individual files after I got Windows back up.
